Lymphatic Drainage Massage is one of the most frequently requested modalities in the US and with good reason! This non invasive, gentle technique stimulates lymphatic tissues and relieves inflamed lymph nodes to help restore lymphatic flow and fluid balance.
Physicians commonly recommend LDM to their patients and many are looking for massage therapists trained in LDM to help with numerous conditions! Learn how to help clients with surgery and injury recovery, autoimmune disorders, lyme disease symptoms, chronic fatigue, sinus congestion, abdominal inflammation and more.
You will learn a full body lymphatic treatment session and how to use LDM as a supplement to any bodywork session.
Topics covered include basic anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system, benefits and contraindications and marketing your skills to clients and medical professionals. Class consists of approximately 1 hour of lecture and discussion and 7 hours of demonstration and practice of techniques. Please bring sheets, face cradle cover and lubricant of choice.
This is a basic lymphatic drainage massage course and does not cover treating Stage II and III Lymphedema.
